Albertsons modernized fresh produce quality management by deploying QCR-AI, an AI-driven inspection platform combining computer vision, machine learning, an Agentic AI auto-labeling accelerator, and human-in-the-loop validation. The solution expanded inspection coverage roughly 10x, delivered model precision of about 98–99% and recall up to 95%, and cut image labeling effort from 2–3 weeks to 3–4 days (an ~80–90% reduction). It reduced manual effort and cycle times, produced defect-level analytics for supplier management, and established a scalable foundation to onboard 140+ additional produce categories.
