The Entry & Judging Process

Application Criteria:

  • Nominations are open to organizations across business and IT, software providers and consulting firms. 

  • Organizations may submit their own nominations directly. 

  • We accept nominations from the ISG Software Research analyst team, software providers and public relations firms that have explicit approval from the organizations to submit on its behalf; all such submissions must include the nominated organization's contact information. 

  • The technology being nominated does not need to be publicly available. 


Application Methodology: 

The Software Innovation Awards are judged by the analysts at ISG Software Research, an industry-renowned research team with extensive expertise and knowledge in business and technology. As part of the scoring process and methodology, the awards team will examine submissions to evaluate: 

  • The innovative approach of the technology 
  • How it applies to people, processes, information and technology 
  • The best practices it supports 
  • The degree of team involvement 
  • The business impact and value of the technology 


Awards Promotion 

  • By applying, you agree that your company names and logos may be used by ISG in Software Innovation Awards communications, presentations, support material, websites and other relevant Awards collaterals.

Input the information of the person who is nominating someone to receive the award. This is also the person we will follow up with if we have any questions about the nomination or need additional information. 

Yes, you can submit a nomination form on behalf of yourself or your company. 

All submissions are confidential. But if you submit a nomination and are selected as a Finalist or as a recipient of the Award, the company name and product/technology name will be disclosed through a press release, email and via social media. We do not disclose any part of the submission to the external market. 

No, our awards program is free for anyone to participate in. 

Yes, a nominator can nominate a company for multiple categories on the form and can submit nominations for multiple companies. 

Yes, place them together in a ZIP file. 

  • You will be notified in writing by ISG. Announcements will also be made on the Awards website as well as other press distribution sites through a press release. 

  • As a finalist, you will be invited to attend the ISG Sourcing Industry Awards Gala Dinner (Fees apply). 

  • If you are attending the ISG Sourcing Industry Awards Ceremony, you will be invited onto the stage to receive a trophy and have your picture taken on the stage. 

  • Award recipients will also receive a prestigious award shipped from ISG Software Research. 

  • Winners will receive a logo graphic to be used in marketing and promotions. 

  • The awards will be announced through a press release and across ISG social channels. 

Helpful Hints

  • Keep your submission concise and to the point, but always interesting. There is no word limit. 
  • The use of bullet points is fine. 
  • Focus on outcomes and tangible results. Include the most pertinent information. 
  • Keep the jargon to a minimum. It can be distracting rather than enlightening. 
  • Complete all sections of the nomination form and try not to repeat yourself too much across the sections. 
  • Send your entry on time. Late submissions will not be considered. 

How to Enter

To help you prepare the nomination, you can download a preview of the application form in a PDF. Please DO NOT fill in the preview as your Awards nomination form. All applications must be submitted via the online submission form

  • Complete all sections of the nomination form online by providing all information requested. 
  • The submission dates for each region are: 
    North America: 11 July 2025 
    EMEA: 26 September 2025 

Judging Process:

Reviews of submissions and selection of finalists for each category will be carried out by a judging panel of analysts at ISG Software Research. The team will evaluate each submission against the criteria provided. 

  • The quality and depth of the submission -- its clarity, completeness and specificity -- will affect the overall score, so please provide as much information as possible clearly and concisely. 
  • No feedback will be provided on the judging process, and the decision of the judges is final. 
  • All submissions will be treated as confidential. They will not be shared outside the judging team without permission until finalists are announced. 

The awards present the following five categories: 

  • Overall Software Innovation Award 
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Award 
  • Business and Technologies Award 
  • Industries Award 
  • Information Technology Award 

Finalists will be announced on: 

  • North America: 29 July 2025 

Winners will be announced on: 

  • North America: 17 September 2025
